| Downstairs ran the Giant in great joy, | В большой радости Великан сбежал по лестнице |
| and out into the garden. | и выбежал в сад. |
| He hastened across the grass, | Он пронёсся по траве, |

| And when he came quite close | Когда он приблизился совсем близко, |

| And the child smiled on the Giant, and said to him, | И малыш улыбнулся и сказал Великану, |
